Voted no because if you have to play on ball defense a hundred percent of the time the AI can screw you over when defending so i think in certain situations like if someone is running the same play over and over and killing you with it its realistic to play off ball d to defend it, but i dont think people should be playing off ball 100% of the time

if people say no because of screens ... you obviously cant play D switch to the defender guarding the person setting the screen.

If the league votes no why not say dont play off ball D all the time.

I see 8 votes and 2 explainations ...

I voted yes. It shows absolutely no skill to just stay on the SF and then just switch of once that player gets the ball passed to him.

I prefer to play on ball d but there are situations where people cheese and bump you or dribble real slow and then all of a sudden sprint to an open spot. They will keep doing this over and over until they get open. In situations like this it is better to have the CPU guard the player.

There are also circumstances where I like to come with a double team on a particular player. I like to do it myself and have the cpu guard the primary player. Having an on ball D rule would make this hard to do.

Not having an on ball D rule provides more flexibility in how I choose to defend.

I think we already had this discussion last season, no?

I vote no, I drafted McGee to patrol to paint, and that's how I am going to use him.

If people are really just continuously playing off the ball on purpose, and switching whenever their man gets the ball, they are losers. Let them suck.
