At the Free Throw line.

Post by CB069 on Tue Jan 25, 2011 1:58 pm

This is not really a complaint, nor do I want a rule put in place. I would just like to throw (no pun intended) it out there.

When you get to the free throw line with your player - and your opponent can hit the trigger buttons to shake the screen while you're on the line to make it tougher while shooting.

It's hard enough with some of the different players shooting style to make free throws as it is...as well as guys such as Howard or Shaq on the line with poor free throw shooting percentages. Plus, I'm not even sure what the sliders are set at for free throws?

I think it's more of a good sportsmanship move not to shake the screen while the opposing player shoots - which is why I never do it to my opponent. The only time I see it being useful would be if the game was on the line in the fourth quarter or OT.

Just thought i would post this to see what other people think in the league...

When you play the Raps you won't be bothered at the line. Thanks for reading.

I'm a shaker myself. For sportsmanship purposes, I usually only do it in tight games, but I may find myself doing it other times out of habit.

Honestly, having too many rules kill the important ones. I vote no on this one (if we're voting).

well the reason for shaking is to give guys home court advantage. Plus if you are shooting with shaq you are not suppose to make it. It gives the guys a chance to use the hack a shaq method in the video game. Makes it feel a lot more realistic with guys using different strategies and techniques within the game.

I dono it should stay as is because real life the fans go apeshit when an opposing player is shooting a free throw. It's the only way to get into the head of your opponet on the free throws.

yea the environment at arenas is amazing. You got side convos, players and coaches talking with fans yelling. Shaking should stay but like not to much people start yelling when players go to the free throw lines after a blow out.
