Cavs drafted Brandon Roy as the 1st pick, 11th overall passing up Amare Stoudamire, Dwayne Wade, and Joe Johnson by accident. It has worked out well. The Cavs have started the season with a 3-0 start. As some consolidation for not having a dominant PF the Cavs drafted Kevin Garnett 2nd passing up Blake Griffin, Al Jefferson, and Carlos Boozer due to KG's dominance on the defensive end.

The Cavs have solid players in the front court with dynamic players in the back court which make for a balanced team with a balanced attack.

12 Games into the season the Cavs are at an even 6-6. After coming out to a 3-0 start the Cavs dropped 4 games in a row. Finding it hard to stop opponents outside scoring threats the coach made a valuable change to the lineup putting in Derek Fisher in place of Kyle Lowry.

The coach has been really upset with Lowry's performance and it has been rumored that he is on the trading block.

The Cavs are 3-3 since Fisher took over at the helm. Currently the Cavs are on a 2 game winning streak.

We'll see if they can carry that momentum with them to the halfway mark.

Coming up to the end of the season the Cavs pulled off a big trade sending Hall of Fame Forward Kevin Garnett and Corey Maggette to Portland in exchange for rising stars Josh Smith and Courtney Lee.

The Cavs are hoping that they can snap their 8 game losing streak.

Barely holding onto the 8th playoff spot, the coach said that Garnett's numbers were sliding recently and he thought that Josh Smith could give them the energy they need to boost them into the playoffs. He is not sure how he is going to fit the other two guards Courtney Lee and Tony Douglas into the lineup if at all.

Trade pays off!
Cavs snap 9 game losing streak.
The addition of Toney Douglas and Courtney Lee added much needed scoring help for Brandon Roy who has moved to the Small Forward spot to make room for Lee at the 2.

In his first game with major minutes Douglas turned in a stellar performance with 15 points and 9 assists earning him Player of the Game honors as the Cavs sped past the Orlando Magic to help secure a spot in the playoffs.
