Do you agree with the following rule? and should we keep it in place?
50% Points In Paint
Do you agree with the following rule? and should we keep it in place?
4- Points In Paint Rule:
This rule is also known as PIP. You are only allowed 50% Points In Paint. The PIP is calculated as Total Points Im Paint/Total Points.
- If the winning team who goes over PIP declines the reset of the game they will receive the loss.
- If the losing team goes over PIP the game will remain as-is.
- If both teams go over PIP the game will be reset.

Re: 50% Points In Paint
I'd like to make a case for people to at least consider ft%. I will work on shooting more from the outside and latin can attest that I have already made an adjustment and will continue to play that way but my proposal is is as follows...
Total Points + FT missed/Points in the paint=50% or less
Total Points + FT missed/Points in the paint=50% or less

- PIP is calculated as Total Points In Paint minus fastbreak points/Total Points

- If both teams go over PIP the game will be reset.
I voted no but this is how I'd write it.

Re: 50% Points In Paint
ok cool, that's even a better version. I will edit the rule when I get home. keep the votes coming.
Re: 50% Points In Paint
if this rule doesn't pass its only gonna give bigs a huge advantage since u cant fastbreak when u want.

i think we should keep as is but change fast break points but then that opens the door for "cherry picker" aka fast break game unless we put a cap on that.. idk i have no issues with the current rules tho so its whatever really lol...

We have a fastbreak rule in place in which you can only fastbreak off of a turnover or a pg rebound. Otherwise you are suppose to walk the ball up and set your offense.

Seems to be missing some votes?

Re: 50% Points In Paint
It seems this will pass, and I agree with the spirit of it, but in addition to considering offsetting it with FB points, I think we also need to look at:
1) Where in the paint the shots are taken from the shot tracker. I think we should really focus on limiting the shots/points scored from within the lower circle.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
2) Offensive rebounds/second chance points should also factor in, if you get a board and go back up for the slam, it shouldn't count as if you are just pounding it inside every trip down the floor. Say, assume 50% of your second chance points are in the paint and also offset.
Just my 2 cents.
